AusBiotech investment mission to Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a major financial centre in Asia, a portal for investment funds and showcase/hub in the region and the springboard to mainland China for two way investments and collaborations. Hong Kong’s biotech industry is service-based, and has got strong local government support for JV and international partnership.
AusBiotech is venturing to Hong Kong and will host the ‘Australian Life Science Showcase: Hong Kong 2012’ in conjunction with the ASX’s small to mid-cap event. Expanding on our global relationship with Ernst & Young, the Showcase will be held at their corporate headquarters in Hong Kong.
The Australian business mission, with the assistance from Austrade, will also include the signing of an official memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Australian and Hong Kong biotechnology industries and associations. An event heralding the MOU signing is planned for Thursday 24 May at the Hong Kong Science Park and will include one-on-one business matching and networking opportunities for participating companies.
AusBiotech will attract a high-quality audience from the Hong Kong and Chinese investment community, including angel investors, venture capitalists, fund managers and investment bankers, working closely with Austrade and the Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization to develop connection through the Hong Kong Business Angel Network (HKBAN) and the Hong Kong Venture Capital Association (HKVCA).
